Zen Pinball iPad

Some of you would have never played this game, but for those of you who do not know about this game, here’s a little information.

Zen Pinball is a series of pinball machine video games for iOS and the PlayStation 3 developed by Zen Studios. The iOS releases are two separate applications, each containing one table; Zen Pinball: Rollercoaster, released July 7, 2008, and Zen Pinball: Inferno, released October 31, 2010.

Zen Pinball utilizes the same basic rules as a physical pinball machine, albeit in a virtual environment. As with a traditional pinball machine, the player fires a steel ball onto the playfield using a plunger. Once the ball is in play the player controls the flippers and can nudge the machine to influence the path of the ball. Each of the game’s tables become more complex as the game advances, opening new paths and opportunities.

In addition to traditional attempts to reach a high score, the game has specific missions tasked to the player. Both local and online multiplayer are supported, along with leaderboards and tournament competitions. Players will be able to activate a slow motion feature and can save game progress mid-game.

The gameplay is great with the physics engine it uses. There are several challenges and achievements to explore while playing the game. Control the flippers by tapping the left and right side of the screen. You can nudge the table once in a while too. It has multiplayer with up to four players using the Hotseat option.

According to TechCrunch’s MG Siegler the app has already been submitted to Apple for approval and launch could very soon, and the app is expected to bring all the features of Gmail to the iPhone and iOS devices.

Also expected on the new app is the use of a priority inbox and one click starring of messages. There is also some speculation that new features coming to the Android version of the app will find its way on the iOS variant such as contact icons, improved threading and “deep search functionality” according to the source. Samsung the World’s Top-selling Smartphone Manufacturer

Samsung officially announces its financial results for Q3, with a pride of elegance that its smartphone sales have hit above 40% boom over the previous quarter without mentioning the numbers of its sold out smartphones.

Only a year ago the South Korean company was a minor player in the booming smartphone market, but it has quadrupled smartphone shipments over the past year by turning to Google’s Android software for its Galaxy products.

There is also Samsung beat Apple to the top position in the smartphone market in the third quarter taking a 23.8 percent share of the global market to Apple’s 14.6 percent, according to data released by research firm Strategy Analytics.

Nokia was third with a 14.4 percent share. The company, however, continues as the largest vendor of mobile handsets, but with a reduced share of about 27 percent in the third quarter, as its global handset shipments were down 3 percent year-on-year to about 107 million units, according to data released by both IDC and Strategy Analytics on Thursday. Samsung and L.G. Electronics took the second and third place respectively in the mobile handsets market, while China’s ZTE overtook Apple to become the world’s fourth largest handset vendor.

Samsung shipped 27.8 million smartphones in the third quarter, up from 7.5 million units in the same quarter last year, while Apple shipped 17.1 million units as customers and operators waited for the fourth-quarter launch of the iPhone 4S amid stiff competition from Samsung’s Galaxy S2 model, and volatile economic conditions in several key countries, Strategy Analytics said.

Of course we must congratulate the Samsung that has been painstakingly reached the highest level, where once we know that Samsung is very far behind from Apple. Once again congratulations on achievements that have been achieved.

C3 Technologies

C3 Technologies made a big splash at CES 2011 when it began demoing its technology on both Android and iOS devices. The company uses formerly classified missile targeting technology to achieve its impressive 3D mapping effects.

Sure enough, we have now learned Apple is now the owner of C3 Technologies. Sources say that C3 Technologies CEO Mattias Astrom , C3 Technologies CFO Kjell Cederstrand, and lead C3 Technologies Product Manager Ludvig Emgard are now working within Apple’s iOS division. Apple has been heavily recruiting for their Geo Team and has even revealed in iOS 5 that they are planning their own full mapping solution. This is good news for Apple lovers, because they can enjoy all these vacationing tourist places around the world without having to come directly.

Firefox with Bing

The build, which is called Firefox with Bing, is available for users to download from a Microsoft-hosted website.

When Firefox 4 was released last year, it added Bing as one of the available options in the browser’s built-in search box. Google remained the default, but Bing became easily accessible to users who prefer Microsoft’s search engine. Microsoft and Mozilla also took the opportunity to establish a revenue-sharing agreement around the search integration.

The new “Firefox with Bing” browser sets Bing as the default search engine and comes with Bing configured as the start page.
