Hello everyone, it’s April and I will show you something different in my blogs. If you read my previous April, I released Free WordPress Themes MyApril, a 2 columns and 770px wide Wordpress Theme. I use unique pink colors, nice icon interface and many more.

This April I created new Theme again but it still only for my personal usage. The new theme page is redesigned and rating features is added to let user know the most favorites themes . Back to MyApril, in the end 2007 I made a decision to release some updates of MyApril and the modified theme is named MyApril Reloaded. MyApril Reloaded has 3 columns and more wider layout along with unique colors.

As we all know, JAUHARI.net is using Padangan. Padangan get some respect from bloggers and many of them make customs of my Padangan. I really happy with it. I am not bored with my Padangan. The reason why I switch to April is that I need to refresh my style and make something new on this blogs. And you know that? April is my day, my birthday I hope all of you enjoy my new face and any feedback are always welcome.

ShiftThis Thumbnail size is a WordPress plugin to specify the thumbnail size for you. This plugin is good for you who want to custom the thumbnail size for your post and not satisfied with the built-in thumbnail size. Using a custom thumbnail size, you are able to to fit your thumbnail image with box or div either by width or height.

I made a lot of Free WordPress Themes that is available for free. Some of my WordPress Themes contain 2 columns, 3 columns, extra footer, widget ready, custom header from simple trough complicated. The question is, why I created all of those theme for Free? In the first time I created Free Themes. I just want to share my design and everyone can download and use it on their own blogs. Until today, I created almost 33+ Free Themes and also offering support trough my themes page comment or via contact form, just in case some of my themes users want more custom or just to make donation

But something unbelievable happened, from Free Themes Design services, some creative users were re-coloring, re-designing and re making my original become something more personal. That’s what I really want. I love my themes users enjoy and make personal touch on each theme. Here are some of creative users that use my Free WordPress Themes and tweak it to make it better for their audience. Please note, this is not list all of customized, it’s just some blogs that’s I know. I just want to know from you folks, what is your first post on your blog?. If you are using WordPress, you have an automatic first post by default, a well-kown “Hello World!”. Did you delete this “Hello World!”?

It will help many people out there who start new blog to find their very first topic for their very first post on their (maybe very first) new blog.

My previous post said that I had setup a forum for WordPress using Simple Forum plugin by Andy Staines. This post is still about the plugin for my forum that is to show the Yahoo Messenger (YM) status of online admin to provide online support for forum members.

The plugin to handle this job is writen by Huda Toriq. This plugin worked as expected and has many features, such as:

• Support for multi YahooID
• Allows you to custom your own status image

allow_url_fopen and or cURL extension shoud be enabled on the server to run this plugin.

Last week I set up a community website based on WordPress. The main feature is of course a forum (discussion board) for the members. There are so many forums available on the net such as phpBB (open source) and vBulletin (commercial) but can not impressed me. I mean some of them are too much for me, especially for the paid one

If you asked me why I used WordPress instead of pure forum, it is because I need to have a CMS to publish news, blog posts, and articles and allow member to comment. We have it on WordPress right?

Thanks to Andy Staines who creates a plugin for wordpress named “Simple Forum (SF)”. The installation is easy as usual plugin install. SF is using Wordpress User Management for the membership system as well as user registration. To allow user registration, you need to tick “Anyone can register” under Wordpress Option.

SF has a feature called “post linking” which provides a possibility to create forum topic posts based on blog entries and vice versa. Only members who are allowed to post on blog have this option while making a new topic post. RSS also available to ease you in placing forum feed in your blog.

MyApril Reloaded is a 3 columns version of my MyApril Themes. I make some changes on this version. This theme has 970px width, 3 columns layout with unique right sidebar, widget and square ads ready. This theme is already tested on WordPress 2.3.
