Larry Page, CEO of Google said “We had a great quarter,” Revenue was up 33% year on year and our quarterly revenue was justshort of $ 10 billion. Google + is now open to everyone and We just passed the 40 million user mark. People are flocking into Google+ at an incredible rate and We Are just getting started! “
- For the Q3 Financial Summary Google reported revenues of $ 9.72 billion for the quarter ended September 30, 2011, an increase of of 33% compared to the thirdquarter of 2010.
- Net Income – GAAP net income in the third quarter of 2011 was $ 2.73 billion, compared to $ 2.17 billion in the third quarter of 2010.Non-GAAP net income was $ 3.18 billion in the third quarter of 2011, compared to $ 2.46 billion in the third quarter of 2010.
- No less interesting Google won the trust of Google+ by get 40 million users, which we know has not been a long time coming.
There’s not a ton of surprises to be found in the results otherwise, although Larry Page and co. sure seem to be busy hiring new folks — they’ve brought on 10 percent more employees in the span of three months (for a total of 31,353 full-time employees as of September 30th). What a remarkable achievement.
