FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec, an audio format similar to MP3, but lossless, meaning that audio is compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality. This is similar to how Zip works, except with FLAC you will get much better compression because it is designed specifically for audio
That’s it mean, this audio format have better quality, it’s better than MP3 because FLAC is lossless, but the size of this audio format still high. But for today storage technology, that not a big problem.
I got first FLAC format from my cousins k1nca, he sent me Ayumi Hamasaki Collection (my Favorite J-Pop singer ever) when I tried on my MacBook Pro my Snow Leopard didn’t recognized what file is it, so I tried to googling and found FLAC website. Then I search the solution how to play it on our iTunes.. and we got it than I will share it ;)
