How To Play .flac on iTunes OS X

Before we move out more details about How To Play .flac on iTunes OS X, I will give you some information about .flac, I got this information from FLAC official site on SF.net

FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec, an audio format similar to MP3, but lossless, meaning that audio is compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality. This is similar to how Zip works, except with FLAC you will get much better compression because it is designed specifically for audio

That’s it mean, this audio format have better quality, it’s better than MP3 because FLAC is lossless, but the size of this audio format still high. But for today storage technology, that not a big problem.

I got first FLAC format from my cousins k1nca, he sent me Ayumi Hamasaki Collection (my Favorite J-Pop singer ever) when I tried on my MacBook Pro my Snow Leopard didn’t recognized what file is it, so I tried to googling and found FLAC website. Then I search the solution how to play it on our iTunes.. and we got it than I will share it 😉

To Play .flac on iTunes you need third party plugin/applications, on this tutorial we use flukeformac. What’s Fluke? Fluke is a small utility for Mac OS that lets you play FLAC files right within iTunes. Then I began download and installed on my MacBook Pro. Then to play your .flac is simple, just right click your .flac files and open with and choose Fluke and bingo.. Fluke will import your .flac music collection on your iTunes library. That it’s, so simple so amazing high quality lossless (.flac) now on your Apple Snow Leopard family

In order to play FLAC in iTunes, we had better convert FLAC to iTunes more supported audio format with a third party software like dbpoweramp, fluck, idealshare videogo.

I use iDealshare VideoGo which has both Mac and Windows to convert FLAC to Apple Lossless, MP3, WAV, AAC, AIFF. And it works very well.

Just google search How to Use iDealshare VideoGo to Convert FLAC to iTunes, you will find a detailed guide.
